This is the kale often used as a garnish because it can be so curly--but don't think of it as a garnish! It's so delicious and toothsome when braised, and it's packed full of vitamins! Also great as part of a stir fry, where its more rigid texture holds its own, never melting away like a less crinkly variety. Plants are compact but productive and can be harvested for weeks and weeks.  Curlier in colder weather.  In warmer weather the edges tend to be curly while the middle of the leaf flattens out.

This is a vigorous, 15 inch plants with finely curled, blue-green, vitamin-rich leaves. It is very cold tolerant.
