I love these seeds! They created beautiful salad greens...along with my Russian Red Kale, Mizuna Mustard greens, Ruby Red Swish Chard, and Roquette Arugala.
Triple finely cut leaves of this frisée type are a staple ingredient of a fancy salad mix. It adds texture and scrunch, and a bitter flavor that just screams highfalutin. Plants can be spaced 6-8” apart to produce small dense heads with blanched hearts.
You can harvest this vegetable in the Fall at the same time as Brussels Sprouts and use them together to make a classically autumn dish that is ultra-high in nutrients.
