The Di Cicco is an Italian heirloom broccoli dating from 1890.  Like many Italian broccolis, Di Cicco produces numerous side shoots.  It is an excellent choice for the home gardener, best planted in the spring or fall, producing very vigorous, emerald green, central heads 3-5" wide.  Heads are spread out over a period of time making a long harvest season.
