The Early Wonder Tall Top Beet, one of the most popular varieties, was introduced in 1911. Adaptable to all seasons, it forms 3-4", deep red globes with tall, glossy leaves that make tasty greens. The quick growing arching tops make perfect beet greens for a first harvest, while roots size up quickly for a second harvest of delectable baby bunched beets. Its staggered maturity allows an extended harvest from a single sowing. Early Wonder is not as hardy as the Detroit Dark Red, but of similar quality for early season crops.
