Delicious Italian beans, the kind used in minestrone soup. They are small, white kidney shaped beans. Very easy to grow and have been popular here for hundreds of years. A low calorie, high fiber source of minerals and vitamins.

When and Where to Plant: Select a sunny location and plant when all danger of frost has past and the soil has warmed. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seed and keep moist. Plant bush types every 3 weeks.
Care: Support pole beans with stout pole, trellis, string, or wire. Water by soaking soil to reduce danger of disease.
Harvest: Pick regularly when pods are 4-6"/10-15 cm, before side bulge.
